Good Times

When a 10 year marriage disintegrates, particularly in slow-motion, its easy to be left with lots of ugly memories. Its hard to remember with any precision why it all seemed like a good idea in the first place. It must have had something going for it, but what did that look like, exactly?

With the passage of time, sometimes we get the opportunity to choose our pictures going forward. How do we want to hold the past? What would we like our grandchildren to understand about our lives? It not a tough decision. If you can re-create good times, if even just an afternoon. . . .

This sequence of five images was shot over a period of maybe an hour, probably in 1968. There is a picture of a plate of spaghetti on the same negative strip, so its most likely a quiet Sunday afternoon. Digesting a good meal, time for a nap. I think I'm the first one out.
