This is a new photo of this painting which is considerably sharper and more true to the colors of the original. The relief on the painting, particularly in the center, is quite pronounced. but does not show up well on the image except by inference.
The paint was mostly applied by sponging and spattering, which brings out the underlying texture in the substrate.
